Lauro did a wonderful job! he got the clog, clear and draining, it did take going through the air snake’s battery then through his heavy duty router to get it cleared. He was very thorough in explaining the process and what will need to happen (eventually) in the future to replace the old existing galvanized pipes, so it will not clog again.

Eric is one if the most professional and knowledgeable technicians I have ever had. He spent the time explaining all of the working parts of my furnace and highlighted potential problem areas.

American Vintage Home replaced our 20+ year old SpacePak units, and the process from consultation to installation was impressive, professional and quick. The quotes were detailed and the owner took care to answer all our questions. Dimitri headed up the installation team, and the two installers were prompt, polite and knowledgeable. They explained how the new system worked and showed us exactly what to do and when in order to maintain it. We also use them for regular inspection and maintenance of our heating system. We have done two major renovations, and our experience with American Vintage Home rates at the top of trades companies we've worked with. We would highly recommend the company.

American Vintage Home has been our go to for solving and maintaining air in our homes in Chicago since 2012. When we moved in December we were told the old company at our new house was so good, but quickly worked out we had a patchwork of wiring and mixed size components. These are THE go to guys for SpacePak installation and service. These systems are made for older homes that do not have built in ductwork. System design and installation is extremely complex and requires a great deal of expertise. AVH technicians have that expertise along with management support. Even though installation is a big mechanical job, they have the know how to make it the least interruptive to your life. They cleaned up every day. I wont pretend that this kind of work comes cheap. Each job is custom an requires an estimate. My opinion is that in my house, it has been worth every penny. Steve Mervis

I have used American Vintage Home on two different houses since when they first started in 1993 or 94. They are very nice and easy to work with. They give detailed estimates. Their work is fast, neat, and precise. They are always on time, and good people to work with. My boiler stopped working last month and they sped up the process to get me a new one installed fast during the cold weather.

We just had a water heater replaced. Knew it was coming since it was way past it’s expiration date but it was still super annoying. Recommend American Vintage Home. They sent some out right away to quote me (no fee for quote). Work was completed next day. Installer was quick and cleaned up mess from old heater. Very happy with service and very hot shower I took as soon as the guy left.

After two not particularly inspiring experiences with plumbing and heating technicians, American Vintage Home in Evanston sent a true craftsman to complete a job started by the previous two. And they should be proud to have a master technician like Andrew *.
